Desert Torah Academy began in 1994 with five students learning in a family’s living room. Today, nearly 400 students attend Torah Tots Preschool through eighth grade, coming from across the Las Vegas Valley.
Our school was built on a clear belief: Jewish values and academic excellence belong together. Through strong Judaic and General Studies and close relationships with dedicated educators, we compassionately engage, nurture, and inspire the whole child.
Our Journey
Humble Beginnings
Desert Torah Academy was founded in 1994 with just a handful of students learning in a family’s living room. As Las Vegas grew, so did the need for a school that combined strong academics with Torah values.
Growing Together
As more families joined DTA, the preschool expanded and new grades were added. What began as a small program gradually evolved into a full school serving students from preschool through middle school.
A Permanent Home
DTA moved into the Robert Cohen Educational Campus, providing a permanent home designed to support the school’s continued growth.
Campus Expansion
Eight additional classrooms were completed, expanding the campus to approximately 75,000 square feet and creating more opportunities for students to learn and thrive.
