At Desert Torah Academy, we work with families to help them apply for the various scholarships available, so that no student ever has to miss out on a fantastic Jewish education because of financial considerations. Scholarship Options
Chinuch Yehudi
Chinuch Yehu Provides $1,000 scholarships to many families who are new to Desert Torah Academy. To be eligible, parents must attend in-person or online Jewish classes several times per year. The scholarship is only available to students in kindergarten or older. After receiving an acceptance letter from Desert Torah Academy, you can apply.
Oorah
OORAH provides $1,000 scholarships for many children in 1st grade and up, and also provides an additional $1,250 for parents who learn with a TorahMate on the phone for 30 minutes per week. The online scholarship submission form can be found online.
Jewish Nevada
Jewish Nevada Right Start provides a financial voucher as a one-time incentive for Jewish families enrolling their children in a Jewish preschool program for the first time.
DTA School Scholarship Fund
The DTA School Scholarship fund provides limited scholarships for students who meet certain financial criteria. Available for Torah Tots and DTA students. Parents must provide proof of income.
Our Jewish Children
Our Jewish Children provides scholarships of $500-$1,000 per child for students in 1st grade and older.
AAA Scholarship
Scholarship provided to Pre-K through 12th grade students across multiple states and expanding to additional states utilizing the highest standards in the nation.
Silver State Scholarship
Scholarships of up to $9,810.00 per student will be granted to students living in the State of Nevada that would like to attend a private school and are entering grades K through 12.
Nechamos Ysroel
Provides many students in 1st grade and older scholarships of $1,200, and for high school students $1,800. To apply, after receiving an acceptance letter from DTA, you will email this letter including a report card from his/her previous school
JEI-Jewish Education Initiative
JEI’s goal is to help parents find a warm and welcoming Jewish private school for
their child. We utilize various sources of grants to help parents move their children from public school into a private Jewish school without worrying about the financial burden of a private school.
Our Heritage
Founded in August 2020, the Our Heritage/Menachem Foundation program encourages Jewish day school enrollment, matching grants to participating day schools, who enroll students coming from public schools.
